The Hungarian government declared a state of emergency on 11 March 2020, and as a response the rector and the chancellor of the University of Miskolc introduced some extraordinary measures regarding the suspension of teaching, and inbound/outbound foreign trips.

According to the instructions:

  1. A spring break is announced for the period 12-22 March 2020; no classes will be held during the spring break.
  2. Starting from 12 March 2020 students are not allowed to enter the educational buildings of the university until further notice.
  3. Teaching resumes in the form of distance learning starting from 23 March 2020. This means that no classes will be held on campus, but students will receive the necessary materials required to proceed with their studies.
