GENERAL INFORMATION  RELATED TO COVID

The University of Miskolc  receives international full-time and part-time students for on-site studying in the 2020/21 academic year. The University provides the students with quarantine at the Student Hostel of the Campus.

However incoming staff at the moment can not enter the Campus unless special reason. Permission for  lecturers, researchers and other staff employed in higher education to enter Hungary  is issued by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology as per the request of the relevant higher education institution.

 

28-09-2020 - COVID - Sectoral Recommendations 

Extract:

  • Buildings, events and courses of the higher education institution can only be attended by healthy people who show no symptoms of the coronavirus. Violation of this will result in individual impeachment.
  • Within the institution it is mandatory to wear a mask indoors and at outdoor events.
  • Body temperature must be checked or the risk screening questionnaire must be completed.
  • It is of great importance to keep adequate physical distance in the territory of the institution. Taking queuing rules into consideration, a distance of 1.5 meters – clearly marked by painting or warning signs – must be kept between those waiting (at libraries, cafeterias, catering rooms and administration offices, etc.).
  • Attendance of classes should be organized in such a way that the safety of 1.5 meters can be maintained, taking into account the capacity of the classroom. It is mandatory to wear a mask indoors.
  • Classes involving a large number of students should be held online – preferably live, with appropriate interactivity or in accordance with 2.1., in groups if necessary. It is necessary to provide options for small group or one-to-one consultations on an ongoing basis.
  • In the current epidemiological alert situation, primarily in-person attendance is preferred in higher education institutions. Deviations from the form of education included in these rules of procedure shall be decided by the sectoral governor with the consent of the rector on the initiative of the rector following an epidemiological measure.
  • Evaluation: in the case of an oral report, students should arrive at a pre-arranged, scheduled time. A maximum of two students should be inside the room, besides the person conducting the report/hearing, at the same time.
  • Events not directly related to education may be held only in exceptional cases

2020-09-05 - COVID - Entering Hungary

  1. General provisions
  • The student must contact the higher education institution of which they are a student, and must arrive at the accommodation specified in the certificate within 24 hours after entering Hungary.
  • The higher education institution shall issue a certificate for entry to Hungary
    • to all students who have student status at a higher education institution including those with dual citizenship, and non-Hungarian students alike in accordance with Annex 1, and
    •  for the purpose of mobility (partial studies, professional training practice or short study trips) to students with student status at a higher education institution outside Hungary a certificate in accordance with Annex 2.
  •  The identification of the student concerned by means of non-personal data (passport number, number of other travel document and nationality) will be recorded on a central unified electronic interface set up for inspection by the National Police Headquarters.
